Diabetic Foot Guide is an educational publication, not a medical practice, and information you send through it is not protected health information under HIPAA. Please do not send clinical details, wound photographs, medical records or anything else you would not want stored in an ordinary email inbox. If you need care, contact a clinician through their practice.
What is collected
- Analytics. Pages visited, approximate location by region, device type, and how you arrived. Used to work out which guides are useful and which are not.
- Search performance data from Google Search Console — which queries this site appears for. This is aggregate and does not identify you.
- Anything you type into a form or send by email, if we add a form or you write to us. That is stored in ordinary business email.
- Cookies set by analytics and by any affiliate programme whose link you follow. Affiliate cookies record that you arrived from this site so a commission can be attributed.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Third parties
Pages may link to retailers through affiliate programmes, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program — see the affiliate disclosure. Those companies have their own privacy policies, which govern what they collect once you leave this site. This site is hosted by WP Engine, which processes server logs on our behalf.

- Block or clear cookies in your browser at any time. The site works without them.
- Ask what we hold about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing michiganfootdoctors@gmail.com.
- If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights — the UK, EU, California and others — those rights apply and the same address handles them.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
